The Miller’s Table at Maine Grains is a destination gathering place. We remain open, taking COVID precautions recommended by public health and state officials with dine-in and take out options. Our courtyard garden and front patio seating, the community “Miller’s table”, and cozy dining room inside the former garage bay of the renovated Somerset County Jail-turned- organic gristmill is one-of-kind farm-to-table cafe celebrating the best local foods, breads and pastries from our region. Located in Skowhegan’s Maine Grains gristmill with the Skowhegan Farmer’s Market right outside our doors, we showcase the all-natural and certified-organic grains milled onsite in our sourdough breads, rustic pastries, pizza dough, pasta, craft beer, spirits and more. You will also find Crooked Face Creamery fresh ricotta and smoked cheeses, made right here onsite, in many of our dishes.
We believe in scratch cooking using the freshest ingredients from our local farmers. Whether it’s a simple, quick breakfast sandwich on our housemade English Muffins, a wood-fired pizza, a cocktail made with our house syrups, a hearty salad or a nourishing bowl of soup, we believe the best food is made from whole foods gathered in the peak of the season when they are most flavorful. Whenever we can, we source ingredients close to home. In all we do, we strive to promote a healthy vibrant community and memorable meals.
Pair your visit to the Miller’s Table with a tour of the gristmill onsite. You can check out Maine Grains tour schedule here.
The Miller’s Table is available for private bookings, special events and community fundraisers. Watch for the return of special “Pizza with a Purpose” fundraising nights on Wednesday nights when it is safe to resume group gathering. Our popular Pizza with a Purpose is a collaboration between our cafe and local non-profit organizations looking to raise funds. We donate $5 from the sale of every 16″ wood-fired pizza to the cause as our way of giving back to the community.
